How can you not love Guacamole? It goes with literally everything under the sun. Chips and guac? Yes. Guacamole on toast? Yes. Licking the bowl of the last remaining guacamole after it’s all been served on some Carne Asada Tacos? We have no shame, YES!
Although it often takes a lot of prep work to make guacamole, the elbow grease is well worth the reward of this green gold. Don Juan Chiles’ version of guacamole is a little easier on your forearms as we rely on our fantastic spices to compliment the avocado. Please enjoy this dippable, spreadable beauty of a recipe, and let us know how it turned out in the comments below.
¡Provecho!
Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados
- 3 tbsp fresh cilantro
- 1 lime
- 1 tbsp sour cream
- 2 tbsp of your favorite salsa
- 1 tsp Don Juan Chiles Ground New Mexico Mild
- 1 tsp Don Juan Chiles Cumin
- 1 tsp Don Juan Chiles Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of pepper
Prep Work
- Peel and pit the avocados
- Chop the cilantro
- Juice the lime into a container so you make sure you get all the seeds out (if your lime has seeds)
Directions
- Put everything in a bowl and mash until well mixed (potato mashers and forks both work great for mashing)
- Serve immediately, or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for later (be sure the plastic wrap is in direct contact with the guacamole to prevent any air from getting in)
