Description
From Mexico. Dried hibiscus flowers, a Mexican delicacy! Technically a vegetable with a tart, almost dried-cranberry flavor, you can use hibiscus for dessert sauces, beverages, or candy them for edible dessert garnish. Brush with egg white, dip in sugar, place on parchment paper and let dry. Use colored sugar for variety. Just don’t use hibiscus from a florist. Stick to the edible kind without pesticides. The texture resembles chewy fruit leather.
