Description
From Mexico. This is a mild heat chile that is woodsy, acidic, and slightly smoky with nutty tobacco undertones. The nutty flavor becomes a bit more prominent when roasted, and pairs well with tomatoes or tomatillos in everything from salsas and sauces, soups and stews, casseroles and traditional enchiladas, fajitas, tamales and tacos. Try pairing them with other chiles for a layered, complex flavor.
