Description
This wonderful herbal accent has lived in obscurity outside certain parts of South and Central Mexico where it is regularly added to black beans, tamales, moles and casseroles. Time to introduce your culinary friends to avocado leaves. Use them as a spice in food or as a bed for roasting meats, or wrapping around fish or chicken. No other licorice-like herb really substitutes for the indescribable anise aroma and exotic flavor these leaves impart.
